Ok...I'll admit it....one of my few faults....

I have serious commitment issues. What is so hard about making a plan in advance and sticking to it? I absolutely can not do that. No matter what the occasion, 75% of the time, I WILL cancel on you. Is it your birthday? Too bad, I'm cancelling. Is it your wedding day? I have high anxiety, I may cancel for fear of everyone staring at me while walking down the aisle. Casual after-work happy hour? I'm going to cancel on you, because I'm "too tired" or have to "go to the gym", which I will probably back out of anyway. Lunch plans with co-workers? Cancel. I already spend 8 hours of the day with you, I certainly don't want to spend my lunch break with you, but I'll tell you yes because you put me on the spot. (You are so great at doing that, co-workers). Dinner with the sisters? I'll probably cancel and use the excuse that "I don't have money". They can't really be fooled, because they are going to cancel as well. Why do I have such serious commitment issues? People often wonder why I am "still" single. Well, my thought is, what if you're in a committed relationship and someone BETTER comes along?? Then what do you do? That is a dilemma right there. Also, the lucky man would have to meet my family, and that is just an entire issue in itself.

IRRegardless (!!!), my question to you is, do you have commitment problems? Do you find yourself canceling plans made in advance at the last minute? Or are you just running out of excuses, and need some more? Please advise.

  1. I can't stand people like you. People like me never cancel plans, which explains why I have tons of friends and you have none! LOL!

Honestly, I like to think of myself as a spur-of-the-moment type of person and that is why I have a hard time committing in advance. I never know what I am going to feel like... It's all about me;-)
